Harald is responsible for partnering with the CEO on strategy, building the management board, recruiting Advisers, leading the fundraising process and sourcing deals through his networks.
Harald pioneered leveraged buyouts (LBOs) in Canada with his own capital since 1986. He is the Chairman and co-founder of Macluan Capital Corporation, a Canadian private equity investment firm, and he is a founding partner or private equity investor in a number of North American and international private equity firms, hedge funds, mezzanine lenders, growth capital providers, distressed investment firms and real estate investment vehicles. Harald has served on the boards of various private and public companies, including Lions Gate Entertainment, West Fraser Timber Company, and Seaspan Corporation.
Harald holds a BA in Commerce from Simon Fraser University and an LLB in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School
