Harald Ludwig is Chairman of Bond Capital Partners. He is responsible for partnering the CEO on strategy, building the management Board, recruiting Advisers, leading the fund raising process and sourcing deals through his networks. He is also co-chairman of Lions Gate Entertainment.
Harald pioneered Leveraged Buyouts (LBO’s) in Canada with his own capital since 1986. He is the Chairman and co-founder of Macluan Capital Corporation, a Canadian private equity investment firm. He also has significant experience as the principal investor in Real Estate, Mezzanine Debt, CDOs, Distressed Debt, Marketable Securities, Special Situations and Hedge Funds. He is an investor and is on the Advisory Board of Tennenbaum & Company and is also a Founding Partner and Advisor to General Capital Group Germany. He serves on the Founders Circle of Thomas Weisel Partners and the Board of West Fraser Timber
and the Board of Childrens Hospital Foundation.
Harald holds a BA in Commerce from Simon Fraser University, an LLB in Law from the Osgoode Hall Law School.
Mark Opzoomer is responsible for partnering the Chairman on strategy, building the management team and business process, deal sourcing, execution & monitoring and delivering results.
He has led a large number of business turnarounds with revenues ranging from start-ups to a billion dollars, delivering significant shareholder returns. He has also acted as adviser to media and technology companies. He is currently a Board member of Rambler Media Group plc, Newbay Software Limited, and Web Reservation International Limited and was formerly a non-executive director of Autonomy Corporation plc. Mark holds an MBA from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC (Coopers & Lybrand) and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada.
Kin Huang is CFO of Bond Capital Partners. He is responsible for Investment monitoring, reporting, compliance, governance, accounting and administration.
Kin has held a number of senior financial management positions within Reed Elsevier, Hodder Headline plc and DOXA Technologies. He was most recently the Finance Director of Yahoo! Europe. He has significant experience in regulatory compliance, having served the corporate centre of a major FT 100 Company with substantial interests world-wide, a fully listed mid cap company and as FD for the European operation of a NASDAQ quoted company. He also has extensive experience in change management, business intelligence, implementing complex systems, and providing decision makers with financial transparency.
Kin holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering from Birmingham University and qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC (Coopers & Lybrand). He has also attended a number of Senior Executive Programmes at the Ashridge Management College and Warwick Business School.
Barrie Moore is responsible for fund raising, deal sourcing, execution and investment appraisal.
Barrie has had 25 years of experience in mezzanine finance, private equity, leveraged debt markets and global fund raising and especially in small/medium sized businesses. Previously, he was a Director at Close Brothers Growth Capital, a Managing Director at ABN Amro Mezzanine Finance, and a Director and Head of Mezzanine Finance at NatWest Markets and County NatWest. He has extensive experience in fund raising, investment execution, transaction sourcing and general investment management. He has served as a Member of the Investment Committees for Close Brothers and NatWest Markets. He has invested in more than 30 companies and has raised in excess of £250M of funds.
Max Steinkopf is responsible for fund raising, deal sourcing, investment appraisal, execution and legal due diligence.
Max has had over 20 years of experience in M&A, operational management, property development and fund raising.
Max was a Founding Director and major shareholder of GB Railways Group Plc which was simultaneously floated on the AIM market at the time it acquired the Anglia Railways franchise. Max was instrumental in negotiating a profitable sale of GB Railways to FirstGroup plc where Max also served as director of their rail division.
Max arrived in England from Canada in 1988 to work on the development of Canary Wharf where he negotiated multi-million pound logistic and construction contracts and was a member of the team that promoted and negotiated the Jubilee Line Extension.
Max is a Member of the Advisory Board of Hodgson & Faraday Fund LLP – a property investment fund.
Max holds an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario, Canada and qualified as a barrister and solicitor in Ontario and an attorney at law in New York.
